Freak de l’Afrique Sound is a DJ duo from Berlin who share a passion for modern club sounds from Africa such as afro house, afrobeats, kuduro, kwaito and everything in between.

With their monthly party-series “The Afro House Experience” or “Black Paper” Mista Wallizz and Cambel Nomi have created a unique set of club nights that focus on the current club sounds emerging from across Africa that re-define the club sound of Berlin. Not being satisfied with their successful nights and increasing international DJ bookings, Wallizz and Cambel decided to start their own artist project in 2017 and named it Freak de l´Afrique (The freak from Africa). Their debut release on Man Recordings, „Mama Eh“, received international DJ acclaim and airplay from DJs such as Toddla T or Gilles Peterson. Recently they were comissioned to remix Germany´s Adel Tawil („Eine Welt, Eine Heimat“) and Daniel Haaksman („Fun Fun Fun“).

With roots in Ghana & Senegal both Wallizz and Cambel travel regularly to the African continent to stay on top of the latest trends in local music, fashion and culture.
