Ok, we´ve been bigging this song up for a while now, today is the offical pre-release day of João Brasil´s anthemic “L.O.V.E. Banana” feat. Lovefoxxx.

“L.O.V.E. Banana” by Brasilian mash-up maestro João Brasil features the voice of CSS godess Lovefoxxx praising the many joys the sweet, yellow fruit can bring. With its saucy lyrics, a hard to resist hook, a „Lambada“ inspired melody and the amazing voice of Lovefoxxx, “L.O.V.E Banana” has all the ingredients of a super fun summer anthem.

On Brasilian MTV Fatboy Slim recently called João Brasil his favourite Brasilian DJ . It´s quiet likely that João , who made headlines in 2010 with his every-day-a-mashup-project “365” will be soon considered one of the big new talents of 2011. Lovefoxxx is the glamourous front woman of CSS, who are about to release their third album on Sub Pop this summer.

The EP comes with a funky Euro dance remix by Daniel Haaksman, an irresistible disco remix by Polish noveau Piano god Max Skiba, a dirty boogie version by Telonious of Gomma records fame and a Rio baile funk remix by DJ Edgar. The acappella is added for aspiring DJs to make their own versions. Bonus track is the classic „Aguas De Março“ by Tom Jobim, sung by Tecno Brega queen Gaby Amarantos from Belem, in North Brasil.

It´s safe to say that „L.O.V.E. Banana“ is the biggest pop tune that was ever released on Man Recordings. It´s hot, it´s full of fun – and it´s from Brasil! And we are convinced it´s gonna be one of the major tunes of summer 2011.
